Baiju Bawra.

I watched this film last night and all I can say is that it is raag’ed up like no other film I’ve seen. Most of the songs are brilliant, especially ‘man ta.Dapat hari darasan ko aaj’ and ‘o duniyaa ke rakhavaale, sun dard bhare mere naale’.

It’s a really good film, one I’ll be watching again. One thing I couldn’t believe though was the ending, I mean what’s with killing them both off?!

Next on my to watch list is Kohinoor..

Oh well..

SIKHS TO CALL FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE DEATH PENALTY AND THE RELEASE OF ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS IN INDIA

A Worldwide Day of Protest was organised for today where Sikhs in cities around the world from London, to Paris, to Toronto and to New York aimed to show their opposition to the death penalty and call for the release of all Sikh political prisoners held in jails in India.

It was really good, there was a good turnout and the weather wasn’t too bad considering its been raining the last few days.

Now lets wait and see if it has made any difference and/or had the desired impact.
