Asha Bhosle in concert – NIA Bham

I went to see Asha Bhosle in concert last night and it was amazing. She sang all her popular songs aswell as some not so commonly known songs by the Late RD Burman who the concert was done in memory off.

She also sang in Punjabi that turned the event into an impromptu party as half the crowd broke out the desi moves.

Sudesh Bhosle (not related to her) was also there; he sung a few good songs and mimicked Indian actors really well.

I was trying to think of a highlight but the whole night was amazing. She sounds amazing and considering she’s now 73 she put on quite a performance. She sang her song ‘Kabhi to nazar milao’ and then sang them in the style of Noor Jahan, Lata Mangeshkar, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan – it was amazing aswell as amusing..

It was an amazing night, I think I’ve now got a ‘concert bug’ ‘cus I can’t wait to go to another one lol. Asha Bhosle is incredible singer and she still sounds amazing 60 odd years after she sang her first song..

Baba Puran Singh Ji’s Barsi

There was a programme at GNNSJ (Bham) for Baba Puran Singh Ji’s Barsi today. It was a hot day and the turnout was amazing, I don’t think I’ve seen so many people there before.
