Kirpa

I know I know its been a long time since I last posted on here and most people have given up on me actually posting again but I'm back (for how long I have no idea lol).

Since I made my last proper post (late October 2006) a lot has happened - with Maharaaj's Kirpa I got a job which is really good and things are looking better than ever on the whole.

I remeber talking to someone before all this happened about how I felt like everything in my life kind of 'stagnant' and before I knew it things changed.

Its really interesting how a small event can kick off a whole series of events that can change your life.

Paintballing - 14/10/06

Some photo’s from when I went paintballing yesterday with my siblings. We had a really good time but changi tarna kutt kadhi at the same time. I have so many bruises from being shot with the paintballs but I so can’t wait to go again lol.

Re: Why?

Just yesterday I made a post about how I don’t know why I bother, well today I got my answer without even having to actively look. In fact I got two answers; one was to why I bother and the other was the fact that I got an answer..

I read this somewhere and it seemed to describe how I feel,

Recently I've been feeling a little under whelmed with things in general. Disconnected. Floating head syndrome. Not unpleasant, not pleasant. Just dead. Grey. Flat.

I don’t want to feel like this, but nothing seems to shake it off. Sometimes I don’t know why I bother - but at the same time I do know, but just don’t know why I bother sometimes..

Wake up call..

Yesterday was the Antam Sanskar (last rights) of Bhai Harvinder Singh and Bhai Satvir Singh, (Bhai Tajinder Singh's will be taking place in India). There was a massive turnout at Sedgley Street Gurdwara Sahib.

This is such a wakeup call for all of us, we have so much to achieve and so little time to do it in..

‘Hundreds of people have gathered to show their respect for three friends who drowned in the Lake District.

Two schools closed and many mourners flew in from India for a service to commemorate Harvinder Singh, 15, Satvir Singh, 17, and Tajinder Singh, 21.

The trio, from Wolverhampton, died during a weekend break with a martial arts group in Ullswater, Cumbria.

They were paddling on 23 September when one of them slipped and the other two got into difficulties when helping.’

I didn’t know these guys personally but had met Harvinder Singh and Satvir Singh at Wednesfield Camp last weekend. I didn’t spend much time with them but had the chance to sit and do Rehras Sahib with Satvir Singh over the two days, we didn’t talk much but when I heard about what happened, it felt like a massive loss – that’s the impact Satvir Singh had over the very short time I knew him and interacted with him.

Oh ma Gosh!

Baba Balbir Singh Ji from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur came over today (where they have Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaaj’s Chola). They are family friends and so they come over and do vichaar whenever they come over from India.

This evening was absolutely fantastic, Baba Ji managed to cover everything I’ve had queries/confusion over lately. Its amazing how Maharaaj sends the answers to our queries at times without us even having to do anything, in this case all the answers I needed came to me.

Without going into detail, Baba Ji happened to discuss everything I’ve had on my mind, they elaborated on Bani and gave examples of how to overcome hurdles and setbacks, how to move on in life and how embrace it. The best thing was that they used all examples from Guru Sahib’s lives and used Bani to back everything up. They talked about the vices, about the jauns we go through and how different ones are the result of different actions and much more.

What an evening man..

The saying all that glitters is not gold means that simply because something may appear priceless, pleasing or pretty, it's no sign that without a doubt it will be worth having once its true nature has been discovered.

Naam Ras Rehansbhai

The event is the first Naam Ras Rehansbhai. This is to begin at 7pm sharp on Saturday 2nd September 2006 at Gurdwara Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbaar in Wolverhampton. There will be continuous keertan and simran being sung until 6am the following morning on Sunday 3rd September, which will include Asa Di Vaar keertan.
