Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj

This is one of the four Bir's at the British Library in Central London. The Sikh Education Council restored these Bir’s to their former glory. These Bir’s are still at the British Library where it’s believed they are to remain for the foreseeable future.

It just so happens that I’ve spent the last week reading a book on the canon, meaning and authority of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In the book were two pictures of Bir’s written during the times of our Guru Sahib’s. As I read though this book, I had a desire to see more detailed pictures and today I happen to come across these pictures.

It’s amazing to see the amount of effort that has been put into writing and presentation. These photo's are amazing; I particularly like the one that has pictures of Guru Sahib’s around the text.

Dhan Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj!
The Sikh Education Council (UK) worked with the British Library to restore a number of Guru Granth Sahib Volumes, Gutke and other Sikh historical texts in need of reparation. At least 4 Guru Granth Sahib Ji Bir’s have been restored at a self-financing cost of £16,000.
